Tornado siren in Streamwood, IL recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (I was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using Google's satellite view). Recorded using a Rode NTG2 into a Zoom H4.

This Model of Siren is a dual toned model T-135. It's Made By the
American Signal Corporation, witch makes Sirens, and other emergency products. The old name of the company was called Alerting Communications Of America, But the guy that bought it changed the name to what it is known today, witch is American Signal Corporation. The T-135 was the loudest siren that is currently in production. The old model looked the exact same, but was called the P-50. This model was also the loudest that was in production. But it got replaced by this model. Also the T-135 got replaced again with a new look. The link is here if you want to take a look, the DB and other info is also here. Just want to show you guys my know how in sirens. Write back.
