This is a recording of a strong wind from my backyard in Long Island. I used a dead cat wind shield which did the trick for most of it, and an Edirol R-09HR. I normalized it, removed my start/stop movements, then looped it seamlessly.

It was taken during Hurricane Irene so it is a fairly accurate recording of the beginning if the storm.

Thanks!
I will be using this sound as an intro to a short film showing the damages caused by Hurricane Sandy. The film focuses on the Atlantic City, NJ inlet area.
I will send you the link when complete.
