The largest Slovenian permanent lake is also one of the most attractive Slovenian lakes. More than 230 species of birds nest in the protected area of the riparian landscape. Among them are also rare and protected species, such as the cormorant, the common tern and the river gull, which bird lovers from all over Europe come to observe.
