Donuan
VJ / Videographer / Video editor/ Visual artist.
Shamanic approaches to visual perception.
Bio:
Raised in the swedish techno scene I early developed a strong addiction to dance music.
This led me to participating in and later organising events/parties where this kind of music was present. I tried my hand at DJing, but soon came to realise that I am much more friends with music as an input while the output tend to take visual forms.
Spending the last 10 years exploring the internal and external world through music, painting, travel, photography, graphic design and digital art, I ended up in Barcelona, where I through VJ:ing found myself returning back to where the cycle began. The dance floor.
I have since then performed locally and internationally in different venues, such as Opus (Belgium), Caudorella (Spain) & Dans dakar (Sweden), with dance floor graphics created in real time from self produced material - filmed, drawn or animated.
Best suited for projecting on to big walls or into pumping crowds, for artist such as Kavinsky, Porter Robinson, Jesper Dahlbäck & Hux Flux.
When not VJ:ing I work freelance with video creation (Andersson Rodriguez Films), production, editing, digital art and animation.
I am also a part of the digital art collective "Chinos International CC" where we, among other things, create interactive installations, projection mappings and audio visual experiments (presented in events such as Mutek (Spain) & Sonar (Spain)).
