This is my noughties recording (18/4/2005 21:57) of a discovered valve radio. I wiped off the dust and dared to plug it in; after 10 minutes it warmed and a sound emerged from it like a barrel bobbing to the surface of the sea from an old sunken ship. I scanned slowly the entire dial and this is the result.
I hope you find this recording fascinating and entertaining. It is rare now in ordinary digital media to experience the analogue back-ground and rarer still to have it brought by warm valve technology.
