An odd buzzing relay I found as part of a light switch in a cellar in an old farmhouse. It makes a slightly different sound when switching on than switching off so I have explored a variety of durations of both.
Recorded using the mid-side method with a Sennheiser MKH8040 (cardioid) and a Sennheiser MKH30 (fig. 8). Recorded at 192kHz as there is useful information well into the ultrasonic range.
