The ambient sound is incredible. The nigthingale is close and clear. And, you can hear the highway 3 km away (2 miles). A helicopter passed and the nightingale moved closer to the microphones. Another nigthingale at distance is also hearable with a bawling cow. Enjoy!
The pair of binaural microphones is mounted in a silicone cast of my ears as a normal pair of in-ear phones. The silicone ears are mounted on a tree with a diameter of approximately 8 cm. The sound is recorded before the concha, the hollow next to the ear canal. The result is a full 3D soundscape when I listen to the sound with a pair of normal headphones. It's my ears that shapes the sound.
