Files for A-B testing between PUI 5024HD and Primo EM272 omnidirectional electret microphone capsules. These files are excerpts from synched and normalized (-3dB) recordings using an Olympus LS-10 and OM Systems LS-P5 digital recorders (not the same but close enough). Both of these capsules are extremely good quality for the price in fidelity and weather resistance. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Listen for yourself and see which you prefer.

Agree ! I own both 5024HD and EM272, and choose one or another according to the situation.
IMO, 5024 exhibits slightly less self noise and is little less susceptible to wind noise. In addition, its RF immunity is better.
But EM272 seems sharper and a bit more directional in the trebles, and handles better high SPL.
