This is real film static, lifted from a 1944 public domain government training film. I removed all the dialog so all that is left is pure static. Lots of noise, some random pops, nothing artificial. This is a perfect bed for any clip you need to "dirty" up a bit. Or as ambiance for your period film. Notice this is "film" static, not vinyl static. You won't hear the repeating 33 1/3 rpm pops from vinyl. But it's not boring white noise, either. It's pure, warm, genuine, film static. Just what you're looking for!

Thank you so much! It's perfect! I'd like to use it in the saddest (short) 16mm experimental film. Is there any way you'd like to be credited?

TY so much I'm using this in a little song that I'm making for a friend so I'm glad I could sneak in some nostalgia stuff with this sound ^^
