Some sounds becoming faster and louder and then horror scream. Low quality, but the source is interesting. It's the sound that my thermos make every 5-10 minutes. It's a very scary thermos.

@kb7clx - exactly (except not ice, but as you said later - hot water) - also it was a bad, promotional, cheap cr#p I got by collecting points on the gas station. To be more detailed it has kind of triple lid - the "cork", one that you screw to the body, the one with button to pour the liquid and one more possibly to equalize pressure if it's too big. Kind of bad valve, because it's not really water tight.

I bet it was full of ice and then closed. When the ice begins to melt the volume decreases and the pressure difference tries to equalize by sucking air from the outside. But since the lid is closed it can only pull in a very small amount of air through microscopic openings between the lid and the thermos. It's like when you make kissing noises through your lips, or when a baby sucks a bottle. They vibrate and make funny noises. Hot liquid might create the same effect as it slowly cools and the vapor contracts creating a pressure partial vacuum. I have a plastic bottle of ice by my bed at night so I'll have ice water and it squeals as soon as I top it off with some water and close the lid. I have to open the lid some to get it to be quiet.
