My obsessions with wind, especially wind-driven dry Autumn leaves continue.
On October 27 of 2024 I took advantage of some very strong gusting, and sustained winds coming out of
the south to capture this sound. It was late October and so many of the leaves were dry and just
sitting on the sidewalks, the streets, the yards and boulevards in a small town in southern Illinois just waiting
for masses of air to give the leaves one last, final dance. One last encore celebrating another year of a job
well done.
This recording is nothing but pure wind and leaves. No insects so you can even use this in the dead of
winter. Enjoy.
