A recording of a horse-drawn carriage being pulled by two, huge, Clydesdale horses wearing Christmas bells.
This recording was made at a winter holiday event in a small midwestern town so you will also hear families talking and a lot of laughter in the background.
I wanted to record a decent-length segment so, instead of just standing in one spot and recording them as they pass by me, I, instead, walked briskly alongside the carriage as it was being pulled. When I say walked briskly, that is an understatement as they were going at a good clip and at some points I was at a slow jog to keep up with them and have my microphone remain close to them. I was soon out of breath, but as a sound-recordist, it was worth it.
