2025 gave Illinois its first real winter event in the form of 3/4 of an inch of Ice. Here is the sound of me with my big heavy winter boots, walking on ice. Nothing else on this audio track because I, on purpose, did this at night to make sure I did not get the sound of vehicles. Just the crunchy, icy cold sound of carefully walking on a form of precipitation that can be dangerous.
The outside temp was 24 degrees fahrenheit when these crunchy, icy steps were recorded.
Wherever you live, when it is blistering hot summer, maybe listen to this and cool down.
Recorded on Monday night January 6 2025.
