this recording was made on a winter camping trip to smarts mtn (white mtns, new hampshire) in february
2006. i dangled the mic just above water level at a creek that was
mostly frozen over. in the foreground the movement of the water is loud
and intense, with a sort of stuttering cadence. underneath is more
tonal variation: lapping, swirling, dripping. stereo recording: sony ecm-ds70p -> minidisc.
