The third in our series of noise Reels for the Morphagene, this latest entry explores the acoustic textures of a Nagra 4.2 tape machine: its spinning reels and tape transport mechanics recorded with both traditional and contact microphones.
This Reel contains 16 Splices, each recorded from a different position on the Nagra, highlighting a unique timbral aspect of this classic recording device.
These sounds are an excellent way to mix in a subtle bit of atmosphere to your patches, or to use as sound sources themselves for further processing and modulation.
