Having just fijnished re-stringing a 1906 Steinway 'B' for St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Morristown, New Jersey,USA, I was admiring the low-frequency response I sensed while putting in the bass strings, which are the final stages of such a re-stringing. Since i am inclined to improvise musically in ANY situation, I quickly activated my ZOOM recorder (you can guess at which part of the recording I risked re-positioning the recorder) and began to hold forth. Feels like a possible Calvin-and-Hobbs sound track.--PM
