I needed a context for a jazz piece reflecting on trying to find a new apartment. Recorded onto a Sony MD55 using a home-made electret pair stealthed into a headset, running through a home-made stereo preamp, allowing me to use "line in" rather than the stumbly-sounding on-board mic peramp. Mastered in Cubase, with minimal compression and serious (-15db @ 60 Hz, medium-Q) low-frequency attenuation.
