Sound of the North Sea as it meets The Naze, Essex, UK. This coastal area has scrub and grassland leading to cliffs and the sea. Therefore, the sound of the occasional seabird is joined by other sounds, including Cetti's warbler, wren, swifts and insects, such as hoverflies.
Recorded in stereo (ORTF formation) with a pair of sE Electronics SE8 Pencil Condenser Mics attached to a Zoom F6.
This is an area with a lot of aircraft movement. Most of this has been cut out, so the original recording of about 20 minutes has been reduced to six minutes using Ardour.
