I recorded a transformer with a guitar pickup then broadcasted it from a speaker, then re-recorded this sound, waving my mic at the speaker (like a light sabre). Add a bit of chorus and voila, it's that light sabre sound. Could be a bit more beefy, you can add some sub or something, anyhows, hope some of yous get some use out of it anyways INNIT???!

Man, thank you. Almost giving up on finding just the right sound after dozens of pages, think up light sabres as a search and presto. Awesome.

A little "Wahwah" and I have a energy projectile reflection shield sound effect.

Fantastic. I'm using it in a silly fight scene between the Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood in the amateur pantomime Robin Hood in which the protagonists fight it out with a diminutive witches broom and a feather duster wielded in the manner of light sabres
Thanks so much
