A binaural recording of a walk through the Johannesburg Central Business district, or CBD. Hawkers hawking, taxis hooting, generators generating (it was a time of load-shedding) and general hubbub and chaos. In apartheid times it was "whites-only" and the commercial hub of Africa. These days these days it is neither, but it's still a is hive of activity, well off the usual tourist track, and more like third-world Blade Runner.
