The following radio was captured on my radio scanning rig in a car park structure in South London, when i reviewed the recording, i noticed something had opened the squelch for over an hour, recording mostly static but also occasional strange tones, including this tone, which slowly raises in frequency before going back down, this recording has been sped up 400% for clarity.
I do not know the origin of the signal or the exact frequency, it was captured on VHF or UHF since a mixture of buisness, PMR, marine, etc frequencies are programmed into my radio, some of the strange signals are similar to unintended emissions from power supplies and other electronics, the up and down nature points to the source being a potentially unstable oscillator or a device heating up, such unintended emissions are not uncommon on the radio landscape, especially in urban areas where the density of electronics is high.
