The sound of a heavy impact with the earth followed by falling debris, gravel and dirt. Shifting earth, possibly an avalanche.
Constructed in LIVE! and Reason.
I used a reversed kick drum, pitched and automated for the pre impact sound and four different kick drums filtered and trimmed to create the impact. Made the falling dirt and debris sound from a clap, bongo, finger snap, cabasa, shaker, guiro and conga hits put through LIVE!’s Erosion plug-in and then a grain delay. This was my first submission “Earth1”. To that I added synthesized sounds created with four Malstrom graintable synths in Reason.

Really really cool sound!! I'm going to use this for a spaceship crash in an animation I'm working on for class :)
