Foley recording of a collapsing tower. This sound is a mix of: [plaster panels, falling gravel and bricks] for debris, [large sheets of aluminium / plastic], for heavy wind and sub bass. This sound has been used during a 97 meters high video projection on the surface of the Asinelli tower, in Bologna (Italy), October 10th 2009. The event was conceived and made by Articolture, <info@articolture.it>. See http://vimeo.com/7330890 for details. The source sounds have been recorded in a large warehouse using AKG C-480 B + AKG CK 69-ULS capsules, Audio Technica AE3000 and AKG C-1000 microphones. The 48KHz 24-bit recordings have been slowed down to simulate the impact of large debris. Digital delay and reverberation was added. Recordings were made by Fabrizio Cabitza with the help of Salvatore Nobile. Mix and sound design by Pier Luigi Rocca. Hardware equipment: MacBook Pro and an RME Fireface 400 card. Software: Ableton Live. Thanks to freesound user homejrande for giving us a great idea: http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=17368
