Walking down a gravel road in West Virginia, I stopped just as the sun dropped behind the mountains. Small trees dotted the meadow I stood facing, and a small stream flowed alongside the road.
This is a very calm ambiance with crickets and birds singing in the field, and the stream running in the foreground. I stopped recording as the noise of an airplane became audible - you can hear it at the end of the recording.
Recorded on Olympus LS-10 and my binaural rig: a set of paired omnidirectional mics with preamp sold by Church Audio, worn over my ears in a homemade windscreen that resembles a pair of earmuffs.
Recording date: July 15, 2013, early evening.
Recording location: A rural area in Greenbriar County, WV.
