On a sunny morning, I hiked out into the woods on a gravel road. The hill sloped downward in front of me and upward behind me, and both sides were covered in trees. The breeze rustled through the leaves and birds sang in the mid-morning sunlight.
Recorded on Olympus LS-10 and my binaural rig: a set of paired omnidirectional mics with preamp sold by Church Audio, worn over my ears in a homemade windscreen that resembles a pair of earmuffs.
Recording date: July 16, 2013, mid-morning.
Recording location: A rural area in Greenbriar County, WV.
