You can hear this "ecco from the past" on a visit to Kronborg Castle- Situated on the narrow straights that devide Denmark and Sweeden. The castel´s stratigic placement enabled Denmark to collect toll from all shipping to the Baltic Sea. Kronborg fell to the Sweeds in 1658. The whole of Denmark was about to fall, when the country was saved by the Dutch fleet which got through to Copenhagen with fresh troups and supplies - but tah´s another story...
