This is a the walkingstreet in central Copenhagen - in the middle 60ies - one of my first fieldrecordings in Denmark, made with an Uher. These vendors had push carts - and knew exactly when to move on and out of sight, when the police arroached. This streetvending is illigal - and often the fruit sold was bad.One is selling bananas and the other I can´t remember. They have a rhythem and melody which is traditional - and banter, not exactly a battle together. I hope some day to provide a translation. The old guy says something like: "I have to empty this cart, so that I can sleep in it tonight..."
