Here you will find interesting and hopefully useful recordings that I've made, out in the field and in the studio. My main interests are soundscape recording and audio for film.
All my recordings are released under the Creative Commons CC0 public domain license: http://creativecommons.org/about/cc0 You may use them without credit for any commercial or non-commercial purpose (but credit is appreciated). The only thing you can't do is say you made them!
I use the CC0 public domain license because I want to encourage artists and film makers to use the materials I've worked hard to create. If you decide to take my recordings and host or post them elsewhere, I ask that you please retain the original file name and help promote the use of and contribution to Freesound by linking back to the source page for the sound.
Shorter files are FLAC or WAV. Longer recordings are high bit rate OGG (quality setting 10). For more information on FLAC and OGG formats see http://flac.sourceforge.net/ and http://www.vorbis.com.
