It never occurred to me that it could be a dolphin... I never really knew what a lot of that stuff was. I imagined it to be something much smaller quite close to the mic, especially since it is only audible in one channel (the two hydrophones were maybe a couple of meters apart). I suppose that kind of sound might be quite directed - in which case it could be possible.
Pretty sure it was dark when I made this recording (I certainly didn't *see* a dolphin).
Lovely thought though. I want to believe it's a dolphin. I've definitely picked up a tiny bit of a whale on a very poor (audio) quality recording from an underwater camera...
