Just the output from an analog box circuit I played with for only half an hour or so to try to get the overall feeling of how it sounds when the dentist is drilling into your head. Wavering is overdone, etc., but it was just an experiment. NOT A REAL RECORDING. Why? Well, it was based on a discussion on the forum where no one seemed to be suggesting anything that filled the void. :-)

You know, I finally had an opportunity to hear the real thing (again) as I had to have an old crown replaced. In this case, it wasn't so much drilling as cutting, but I thought to myself at the time that it was very different from the sound [this one] I had posted on freesound. Oh well. Still kind of interesting.

LOL. I didn't have any reference to go by. I was mostly trying to work on the idea of it seeming like the sound was mostly being transmitted through your bones -- that it's inside your head. Not sure how that *should* be done, but I got an interesting effect, whatever it is.
