This sound is part of the pack Dare-48 Drum-kit
This was for a dare, not expected to be useful (see Dare-48 in the forums). The recorded sound here was a big, thin, plastic salad bowl (the disposable kind you get from catered take-out) being hit by something. The mixed sound was a complex drum-like percussion sound sound I created in Analog Box 2, along with the impulse (resampled to 4x higher pitch) used in the kick drum sound also from Analog Box 2. This one is supposed to fill the role of a lower-pitched racked tom on the kit. A lot of editing was done in Cool Edit Pro. Recording was done with Zoom H4n.
