Is there a way to download directly from the search results, without having to go to each sound's individual page ? it's a huge waste of time and energy

Nope sorry. There's not.

If there's a type of sound you like, you can download a pack.
There's ideas of a collection feature, where users could make their own collections, so when that's in you might just need to find a collection for your project, speeding things up a bit

Also, scroll wheel click will open a sound page into a new tab. Keeping you browsing / searching, then you can download them onto each of their page and close them. That might speed up the process, making it a matter of second per sound download.
