Could we possibly un-sticky this thread?
Many of the recent posts have been self-promotive and nonsensical.
Let me post a historical sound of a real disaster! This huge storm was on 9th June 2015, in Pécel, Hungary, and caused flood. I came back from work but couldn't move on foot. I and more people needed a car to get home because of the rain. As I noticed later, the train couldn't move too because the railway got flooded too! 37 mm of rain came from the storm in almost one hour!
Listen to the sound and take weather warnings seriously!

One of my favorite sounds ever. What a great ringtone to hear on a crowded elevator!

Allow me to contribute to its revival by promoting some other users’ sounds...
http://freesound.org/people/DjElfo/sounds/96118/ — really beautiful, Brazilian Portuguese folk singing. It’s interesting that the mood of ‘saudade’ (as Portuguese speakers would say) has a lot in common with the fado you may hear in Lisbon, and really reflects the way many influences from the motherland blend with African influences in Brazil.
http://freesound.org/people/RutgerMuller/packs/3267/ http://freesound.org/people/RutgerMuller/packs/3283/ — What can I say, these are just rollockingly good breakbeats.
http://freesound.org/people/xtrgamr/sounds/264090/ — Well, a lot of us can relate to this one.
I really like these two field recordings:
I used the printer sound and embedded into the homepage of the website for my printing business so it plays every time the page loads.
