Here is his excuse...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L85uOzL2xA
This is not an excuse. You are still making money from a channel which was built on deception. Why should you be allowed to profit from this action?
If you do take responsibility as you claim then close the channel.
SoundEffectsFactory wrote:
That is not an excuse, this is my side of the story explaining my actions and taking responsibility. If your that stupid that is not my problem. And you really expect 100's of attributions/donation requests to be changed overnight?
You knew what you were doing building this channel and joining the YouTube Partner Program. When signing that Partner Program contract with YouTube you clearly state that YOU are the copyright owner of all videos and their Audio.
The magnitude of your task only belies the magnitude of your deception. So why don't you close the channel and start it again properly?
In the video you continue this deception by claiming you somehow weren't aware of what was required.
BTW: Attribution — You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor
So even by attributing these files, until you have contacted the authors of each and every one to ask for how they would like to be attributed you are still breaking the terms of the license.

Why start it again when those sounds are already available on Freesound in the original format?
Why don't you create your own sounds?
Because he makes money off this YouTube Partner Channel through on-video advertising revenue. This channel is based on copyright theft, fraud and deception. It's cynical and calculated, I see no evidence of a mistake here.
I wonder if he can remove the videos fast enough before the copyright claims already submitted kick in?

Another sound violating attribution:

is actually
http://www.freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/sounds/140886/
Is anyone still counting?
SoundEffectsFactorydespite the fact that many of you were negative towards me in my efforts to correct my mistakes
Because your actions to:
1. Deceive people into thinking you created the sounds.
2. Fraudulently providing copyright clearance to hapless users (interesting to see what happens when some of your customers get pinged for copyright infringement)
3. Continued (post bust) attempts to obfuscate your deliberate and calculated attempts to maintain a revenue stream from a web of samples you had no right to use.
4. Failure to delete a YouTube channel that is build on a fraud.
The negative reactions are fully legitimate and it's interesting to see Google searches will associate this thread with SoundEffectsFactory over time. It's now the fourth most popular response on a google search for "SoundEffectsFactory"
These were not "mistakes", they are calculated actions designed to make a profit from copyright fraud.

The very first example of infringement of the attribution license in this thread ...

currently does not have proper attribution, just those nasty bit.ly things ...

The downloaded file is called "dramatic bass dun dun dun SoundEffectsFactory.wav"
The wav file does not have any metadata indicating the sound requires attribution.

Don't trust your memory as apparently it is deficient, go through your all of your Freesound attribution list instead ... http://www.freesound.org/people/SoundEffectsFactory/downloaded_sounds
Luffy's record scratch [freesound #3536] still isn't properly attributed either : it currently still has the nasty "bit.ly" links ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPGcpIXeA-4
UPDATE (+2hours): Luffy (and Simon_Lacelle) and now attributed properly ( but only after prompting by moi ).
Thank you guys for this post. I mad up my mind. To stop this hateful use of our sound I decided to change some sounds back in Attribution license.
I made an extra text as description for every sound.
Maybe this is a way to help this kind of people away from abusing our hard work
here is the text for all the types of licenses I use:
Creative common 0;
When you use this sound it would be nice if you spent a voluntarily donation to freesound. Remind that this is not a must. You are free to skip this request.
Please credit/attribute me and freesound.org if you use this sound. Please do it like this: sound from http://www.freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/
Do not use an indirect link.

Currently “SoundEffectsFactory” has still got some of some of Setuniman’s top-notch, (and no doubt very lucrative), music on their YouTube channel with the “bit.ly” obfuscated attribution links ...

By using a “bit.ly” link you’ve accidentally done Setuniman the favour of obtaining some market research ...
“SoundEffectsFactory” You'll better check my licenses and the way you attribute. See the text under my sounds....
I will follow you in your dreams by abuse. My horror sounds are more powerful than you think.
wwwhhhaaaaa!!!
Here is another sound, this one by HerbertBoland
http://www.freesound.org/people/HerbertBoland/sounds/33637/
License is: attribution non-commercial
Well...
so far for attribution... and non-commercial...

Courtesy of the SoudEffectsCopyMachine !
@AlienXXX and others: Today I changed the license of this sound and some other popular ones I have to: "attribution non-commercial".
@SoundEffectsFactory: Be so kind and remove http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvwpTtxrtbg.
Thanks.

I missed that one. Over 900 pay-with-a-tweet's on that in seven months ...
http://www60.zippyshare.com/scaled/90987367/file.html
plus advertising revenue proportional to its 25 thousand YouTube views, kerching.
But no credit for the creator , (nor do those who bought it with-a-tweet know it has to be attributed in their project). Maybe SoundEffectsFactory can tweet them back to let them know.

As per his last post SoundEffectsFactory is no longer active on this thread.
(he may still be there... lurking in the shadows.... watching)
But to be sure he received this message, you may want to contact him by a more direct means.
Rock Savage’s blood splatter which I mentioned on page 1 of this thread
http://www.freesound.org/forum/legal-help-and-attribution-questions/33381/65445
hasn’t been properly attributed yet ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XKg_o1YfTg
[ nor has Setuniman’s ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXGgEtW3ijI ]

In reality it looks like he's only going to correct the infringements which are brought to his attention, as each correction will lose him income. IMO all future complaints about their infringement of the attribution license should go directly to YouTube ... http://www.freesound.org/forum/legal-help-and-attribution-questions/33381/65551
Interestingly, SoundEffectsFactory has had no trouble in attributing sounds from other sources:
A lot of military sounds on his channel have credits.
For example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_QKiIab_qg
"Thanks for viewing! Make sure to check out my channel for more HD sounds effects uploaded frequently! If you like what you see, Subscribe! Request a Sound Effect/Ambience on my channel!
Special thanks to LoneSoldierFilms:
http://youtube.com/lonesoldierfilms
"
When there is attribution on these sounds there is a direct link. No shitty bit.ly links.
So why the issue with Freesound????
Ahhh... I know! He just doesn't like the word "Free" !
