I think you can use any sound here for a none commercial work, including your video game.
I think the "approved for free cultural works" is a combo filter of either CC0 or Attribution only.
If your game is none commercial, you can also use the "Attribution Non-commercial" sounds.
Only depending on the licence, you'd have to add credits to the sounds. For example :
Following sounds found on Freesound.org :
"Thanks to X user for Y sound" (Y being the number associated to the sound ?)
(Repeat)
The only exception here would be CC0, where you're free to use without crediting (would be kind to still credit tho
