I'm editing a feature documentary and want to credit someone for a sound but I want their credit to look professional in my ending credits. How can I do this? It's currently something dumb like "User0234." I don't want to credit them like this.
I noticed that the sounds you downloaded have a CC0 license. In that case it is not necessary to give credits at all. At CC0 you could say "freesound.org" in the credits. That is sufficient in this case.
If a different license is used you will have to send an email to the user and hope they respond, otherwise you will have to use the username.
Yes, I've been trying to get the CC0 ones, but there are a few that I'd like that require attribution. I did send the user an email. Hopefully they get back to me, but if they don't I'll probably end up just getting sound bites from somewhere else. Thanks.
Tip
It is common that people credit in there video's like;
Thank to user a,b,c,d from freesound.org for there CC BY 4.0 sounds.
Some who can not credit my sound just make a link to there video as a comment under the sounds they use.
