This is the LoJack alarm isn't it? I took my Camry to a mechanic and he set off the alarm right as an ambulance passed by. He couldn't tell the alarm was going off and I had to tell him. Good times.

So funny...each of these comments is from someone who, like me, trudged through hundreds of honking horns, mono-toned sine wave beeps, stuff I can easily get or make. My neighbor has this obnoxious sound, and I almost went over there to shake his car into cooperation with my recorder... i grabbed it for alt purpose, but maybe I can play it outside at 3 am and get him to come running, as a fun game for me :D TY you are the best for being the only one who capped this sfx that I know of!

Splendid recording - and excellent mix of variations, some of which I hadn't heard before.

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you (kiss kiss kiss the ground) for this one!!! I have neighbours from hell who have music going boom boom boom (5 years we've suffered), they're insolent, & the authorities are useless and do nothing, and I've recently found the loudest most aggressive ipod dock that would override it. All I needed was the most annoying sound to go on it, and every single time they put that stereo on, they are going to hear this car siren - over and over again until they turn their stereo off. The mongrels have already told me that they can do what they like and have their music as loud as they like - yeah, well what's a car siren to one is music to another and they can put up with the agony that our house has put up with living next to them. Just need to get the industrial ear plugs for my own household and we're set to go.

This car alarm is perfect. Bring on the loud boozy parties, neighbours from hell - I'm ready!!!!!!!
