Lyrebird is a ground dwelling bird that lives in the Australian bush and is very clever at mimicking sounds.
This particular bird happens to sound like a science fiction movie! I removed much of the background noise, and lightly processed it with a phase effect. At the end I pitched certain sounds down for a more alien, dinosaur sound.
The original sound was recorded on a smart phone.

Huh. That slowed-down part is . . . creepier than I expected.
