This is a small loop following the culmination of hours of recording and mixing various tribal drum samples (and kitchen implements) as well as field recordings and a couple of reverb impulse responses.
This particular loop began with the humble less than spectacular sound of me hitting a bucket with a wooden spoon which is now somewhat buried in the mix.
The idea was to layer, mix, pan and re-pitch samples together that complemented each other to create the sound of a huge tribal drum performance, similar to the style used in many video game and movie scores, most notably that of Hans Zimmer. There are also a couple of subtle layers blended in from Spitfire Audio's HZ percussion library.
I hope you enjoy it!
Please comment or message me with what you do with this loop, I'd love to hear!
For some reason the preview sounds like it has some strange transcoding audio artefacts, however if you download the original wav file you'll find it pristine and clear as I intended.

Loved the loop! I used it for a trailer I made as a fun message to the cast and crew of a short film I produced that we had gotten into a film festival and were nominated for two awards (we didn't win them but it was cool to be nominated). Here's the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD0yEU9_nq4 Thanks! Keep making good stuff

Excellent beat and edit Matt. I used and looped it in a spoken word/political/experimental piece I produced. I did give you credit as MattC90 and the link to this page. My piece is on Alonetone at https://alonetone.com/jimgoodinmusic/tracks/say-it-bobby , also used on the Sound-In.org forum at http://soundin.org/unusual-instruments-and-ets-sound-in-8-9-8-11/. Thank you!

Will probably use it for a game's battle theme
