This is a sound of crickets, birds and frogs at night. Its not directly recorded but made of a variety of real recordings. The sample includes many different cricket species, some frogs, a Common Loon and a Chuck-will's-widow calling in the background and it also contains a little bit of wind to make it feel more like an outdoor scene. All the cricket-, bird- and frog species and their real sounds resemble those in Oklahoma. So I have only checked on the nature in Oklahoma and mixed the sounds together. I have not even been there to listen to it myself. Tell me if it sounds like your home! Enjoy!

You asked if this sounds like home. Truthfully, I'd have to say that I've never heard a loon in Oklahoma. On the other hand, a summer's night on an Oklahoma lake can be a magical place. And you've certainly captured that in this clip.
You also asked for a link to a resource that uses this recording. Here's one,
http://plum-creek.us/beau_soir.html
To run the video on that page requires QuickTime or other software to play an MP4 video file. Your recording runs over the ending credit titles.
With appreciation,
