This is a dawn chorus for my friend Sofia. I haven’t met Sofia because she lives in the US, and i live in Australia.
I got up very early this morning (monday 7th October 2013), before sunlight and walked down to the lake here in Fryers Forest. It is spring here so the place is really alive.
In this recording you can hear frogs and the abundance of birds including the “laughing” Kookaburra. Towards the end some Galahs fly over, making a screeching racket.

This is so wonderful! Sofia and I listened to the entire thing this morning. She sat listening intently, which made it much easier to feed her today. And those Galahs make quite a sound. Thank you so much!
