Soundclip of me entering a subway station and waiting a few minutes for a train to arrive. You will notice the change of environment, as I passed the revolving doors from outside to inside the station. Inside, you will hear the "hum" of mercury-vapor lamps, a man hanging up the public phone talking to himself and cursing, rustling of plastic bags, a recorded intercom message (in French) informing users about closed subway stations and available shuttle service, people paying fares (with change), passing the turnstyles (two-tone chime)... then taking their transfer ticket (bang-bang sound), wind whistling through the revolving doors (caused by a negative pressure inside the station, as the trains arrive in opposite directions). Equipment used : Sony Minidisc (MZ NHF-800), binaural mics (http://www.giant-squid-audio-lab.com/gs/gs-podcast_stereo.html) + preamp (www.visivoxtechnologies.com). Sounds best when the file is downloaded, decompressed to WAV and listened with headphones.

Thanks Digifish.
The mics were located on the collar of my jacket (which made them quite difficult to notice).
