Me trying to capture the sound of approaching footsteps in a small hallway with wooden floors and a high ceiling.
The shoes were dress shoes: black penny loafers. The field mic was placed directly on the floor on little pads beneath it. You can hear the squeak of the floorboards, for better or worse. Also, the sound was not EQd at all, just a little oZone compression and "sonic maximization".
This sound would be great for an intimate shot of footsteps approaching, however could also work for someone walking in during a shot of them. Normally this is all done AFTER video of course but figured I'd add it in case it's needed.

Hey! Thanks for the great recording, it's very well done! I might just use this in my university project, an animated short film, it quite nicely fits one of the scenes. Cheers!
